On October 20, 2023, WWE SmackDown thrilled the crowd at the Frost Bank Centre in San Antonio, Texas, with a wrestling spectacular that left fans giddy with anticipation. It didn’t take long for word to get out that the event was SOLD OUT, with 13,695 seats available. As the day went on, there was a glimmer of optimism for those who had missed out—that some production seats or other holds may be released.
This wasn’t the first time WWE had graced the Frost Bank Center. The last visit was on July 11, 2022, when WWE’s flagship show, Raw, brought in 7,958 fans. In the previous years, on December 3, 2021, and August 16, 2021, Raw events saw attendance figures of 6,718 and 7,923 respectively. Clearly, WWE’s brand of entertainment had found a passionate following in San Antonio, making every event a thrilling spectacle.
